Garage Rock/Indie Rock

Listen to Egovalve

Egovalve was originally formed in 2015, in a corrugated iron shed in Ōtautahi by shredder-by-day, crooner-by-night Luke Lament (SOG) and bassist Jack Diamond (Jalapeño Poppers) writing 60s-inspired garage rock riffs and jangly songs about growing up in provincial Aotearoa. After a move to Pōneke, Egovalve capped off the current lineup with local non-binary muso Tasmin (Lilith) jumping on drums. Since then, Egovalve has evolved into a tightly-fused, white-hot trio with influences ranging from the Zombies to Iggy Pop.
