Will McClean's father was the frontman for a band that formed in the 80’s called “The Vacuum” and is a big part of his inspiration to continue his musical legacy. Having also been surrounded by music in his home for the majority of his life, he says “...with Mum blasting artists like Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill and Fat Freddy’s Drop all day, everyday; I used to be rapping, tapping and singing along and it ultimately made me gravitate to instruments and jammin along.” Will McClean has had the blessing of playing festivals such as The Longline Classic, Tora Bombora and Twisted Frequency, as well as some sold out shows around the country and supporting national artists when they tour in Wellington.
